History has remembered the kings and warriors because they destroyed; art has remembered the people, because they created.
- William Morris
Collectors of curiosities, students of Fine Art, lovers of Art History, Porter and Louise Scott have spent a combined 45 years in France, nosing around flea markets and antique shops in pursuit of treasures from bygone eras.
Dedicated devotees of the Arts and Crafts mindset, they celebrate the trace of the hand on an earthenwear vase, the beauty of a wrought-iron balustrade, the nervous line on a hand-carved panel...
From April through September, L'Ancienne Boucherie brings such treasures as these to the surface and invites amateurs and connisseurs alike to come in and peruse it's wares.
